Since it’s hispanic heritage month, today and this week Miss Arteaga's class is learning about what it means and how to celebrate their Hispanic heritage. Two of the students wore colors from the Mexican flag, since today is Mexico’s independence day!

Yesterday, Mrs. Hippen’s class worked on identifying what colors represent their feelings during Social-Emotional learning. Students did a great job of identifying colors to relate to their feelings. For example, some students felt the ocean was relaxing so when they are relaxed they think of the color. blue. Some felt the sunshine brings them happiness so they think of the color yellow. Some are scared of the dark so being afraid makes them think of black. The students did a great job with this activity and enjoyed seeing their classmates feelings as colors!
